We maintain a map showing closures on major thoroughfares by contractors that have received permits from the City of Houston for closures of more that two weeks. This map is updated regularly but occasionally the City may issue a permit based on an accelerated schedule and you will find lanes closed that are not shown on this map.
Be aware that if the lanes are blocked and the vehicles are marked as SBC, CenterPoint or another tele-communications provider, the City’s ordinances allow those companies to close a lane on a short-term, emergency basis without a permit issued in advance. |
