With the area’s Park and Campus settings, as well as the City’s investment in local bikeways, it is no wonder bicycling and walking are great choices for getting into, around and through the South Main area. Houston has almost 300 miles of identified bikeways to make your bicycling and walking better and safer.

Remember, in Houston it is required that you register your bicycle. Visit any Houston Fire Station to register your bicycle for only $1.

Walking in the South Main area is easy and relaxing. Sidewalks are shaded and your route can ofter detour through a park and by some of the best public and institution owned sculpture in the region. Leave your car in the garage, save time and expense and walk to the next meeting.
